Trust and handover in autonomous driving

Autonomous driving makes trust measurable in seconds: too much, and people disengage; too little, and they never use the capability that was meant to help.

Handover is the stress test. The stack must communicate why it is yielding, how urgent the takeback is, and what state the vehicle is in — without dumping a dashboard of uncertainty on a startled driver.

I am interested in interfaces and training that keep drivers calibrated across SAE levels, not just in the marketing of “full self-driving.”
